ABOUT

Dimitri Bähler lives and works in Biel, Switzerland.
Graduated from the ecal, Ecole Cantonal d’art de Lausanne, he opened his design practice in 2014.

Very influenced by his practical experiences, notably during various workshops and residencies around the world, his work stands out for its permanent search for a balance between simplicity and sophistication, pragmatism and poetics, research and spontaneity.

Awarded several distinctions such as the Interieur Awards Grand Prize in Kortrijk (2016) or the Swiss Design Award (2023), his work has been exhibited on four continents and can be found in permanent collections of cultural institutions such as the MUDAC in Lausanne (CH), the Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich (CH) or the Grand Hornu in Boussu (BE).
